Competition Winner - 'Weekend Washing'

A new type of shoot for me, but I was intrigued by the Oakville Camera Club’s competition to ‘Tell a COVID-19 story in one image’. I knew straight away what the subject would be. To me, masks are the constant reminder that the pandemic is ever present and every Sunday I take the pile of used masks from the week and wash them all, ready for the next. Four people, seven masks each per week has certainly created a different picture in my house for ‘Weekend Washing’. I was delighted when the image was chosen as the winner in the category.
