Going with the flow

Capturing moments means I'm rarely without my camera. It also means being able to react quickly to any photo opportunity that may arise. It might even mean needing to completely abandon a particular shot I had in mind and just going with the flow. And sometimes it means turning around to see what's going on behind me. It's these spontaneous, unexpected shots that can end up being the favorites of the shoot as they capture something really unique. It can also be absolutely hysterical!

I took the first photograph when my daughter photo bombed another shot I was taking. I love it though! It captures her cheekiness perfectly.

In this second shot, I was photographing the lovely Emily and Vinny when the Rhodesian Ridgeback wandered across the frame. A quick readjustment of my settings to focus on him and throw my original subjects into the background resulted in this shot.

Oh, and if you're in the market for some more equine artwork, then check out Emily's portfolio here.
