Golden Hour

As the sun set on Assateague Island, this mare decided it was time to settle down for the night. Being cooler and with fewer bugs by the water it’s the perfect place for the horses to sleep. The gold and pink tones of the sun cast a beautiful glow which really accentuated the color of this mare and the sand around her. And that tail swish!
