These two were captured just after sunrise in the marshes. They’d been galloping through the shallow marsh water with the rest of the herd before taking a much needed break to rest and cool down. It was already well into the 30s by 7am. They’d both caught sight of something that piqued their interest. I love how both sets of ears are forward, but what makes it for me is the one eye of the second horse just peaking over the withers of the other.
